Preoperative imaging can both over- and underestimate the degree of involvement of the ductal system; surgeons should be aware of this pitfall and be ready to modify the resection plan intraoperatively to ensure negative margins. Finally, surgical diverticulectomy may be performed as a definitive treatment option. Nevertheless this sequence does not permit reliable quantification of fat content. Other findings of bowel obstruction, such as fecalization of intraluminal bowel contents proximal to the hernia, may be present. The male urethra has a dual function: to transport urine from the body and to facilitate ejaculation of semen. The nodule hyperenhances in the arterial phase (arrow in B) and subsequently fades to isointensity.
Speech development in childhood relies on a child hearing a sound and repeatedly attempting to replicate it until they think it sounds the same. Clinical Features Adenocarcinomas of the small bowel are slightly more common in men than women and have a median age of occurrence of 67 years. Occasionally hypervascular tumors may "steal" arterial flow from hepatic segments in the ipsilateral hepatic lobe; in this situation, some ipsilateral hepatic segments may be hypoenhanced (owing to steal) while others are hyperenhanced (owing to siphoning) in the arterial phase. Biliary dilatation suggests bile duct obstruction and should prompt a search for possible tumor. Unlike the case in closed-loop obstruction, the small bowel wall and folds are dramatically thickened. Colonic trophozoites ascend via the portal vein and invade the liver parenchyma, causing hepatic infection. Careful attention to the relationship of the finding with the vascular anatomy should help to differentiate an aneurysm from a tumor. As the image is sent along the optic nerve from each eye, these optic nerves then cross at the optic chiasma at the base of the brain, where the optic nerves divide their signals to detect any differences in the image from each eye.
